Guava starter kit IQOS in Maputo: the online shortlist
Guava in Maputo: 8 units tested over 6 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Choosing a starter kit for guava
Ordering into Maputo usually means waiting 7–14 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
We run guava the same way in Maputo: same starter kit, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: guava in Maputo works if the starter kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a guava starter kit really costs in Maputo
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested guava in a starter kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Batch code and production date, so a guava bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a starter kit arrives sealed but wrong.
Where guava goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a starter kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Treating the advertised MT51 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.13 per 10 ml.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
| What it is | This page | Why it matters |

| Nicotine ceiling | varies | Legal retail limit in Mozambique |
| Coil life | ~4 days | The hidden monthly cost |
| Delivery to Mozambique | 7–14 business days | Buffer the reorder around this |
| Entry kit | MT51 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT2.13 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
Why does guava taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the starter kit units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the guava blend itself harsh.
How long does guava in a starter kit last?
In Maputo we measured 6 to 8 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Is guava legal to sell in Mozambique?
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
