Guava RDA IQOS in Maputo: the online shortlist
Guava in Maputo: 10 units tested over 8 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Coil life, liquid cost and the guava habit
If you are looking at guava in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the RDA you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
Guava in a RDA is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
If you only read one line: the RDA you buy decides how long guava tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a guava RDA really costs in Maputo
We run guava the same way in Maputo: same RDA, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested guava in a RDA
- Pick the RDA that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Coil type inside the RDA, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a RDA arrives sealed but wrong.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Stock depth: 10 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where guava goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Ignoring the batch date on a RDA and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why guava tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
How long does guava in a RDA last?
In Maputo we measured 8 to 10 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does guava taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the RDA units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the guava blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On guava the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT3.44 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
