Guava box mod IQOS in Maputo: the compare shortlist
Guava in Maputo: 16 units tested over 7 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Choosing a box mod for guava
Most people searching IQOS in Mozambique are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
If you are looking at guava in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the box mod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
If you only read one line: the box mod you buy decides how long guava tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a guava box mod really costs in Maputo
If you are looking at guava in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the box mod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested guava in a box mod
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Stock depth: 16 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where guava goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why guava tastes flat after two days.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Ignoring the batch date on a box mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.

Why does guava taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the box mod units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the guava blend itself harsh.

Not automatically. On guava the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT3.16 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
Is guava legal to sell in Mozambique?
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
