Graphite squonk mod IQOS in Maputo: the guide shortlist
Graphite in Maputo: 21 units tested over 8 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Coil life, liquid cost and the graphite habit
A graphite squonk mod from the starter options in Mozambique costs about MT2.65 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
We run graphite the same way in Maputo: same squonk mod, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Below is the run we did for this search: 21 units, squonk mod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a graphite squonk mod really costs in Maputo
Graphite in Maputo reaches the shelf in squonk mod formats, and the starter ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested graphite in a squonk mod
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Batch code and production date, so a graphite bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where graphite goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a squonk mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Ignoring the batch date on a squonk mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Mixing graphite with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.

Frequently asked questions
Is graphite legal to sell in Mozambique?
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
How long does graphite in a squonk mod last?
In Maputo we measured 8 to 21 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does graphite taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the squonk mod units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the graphite blend itself harsh.
