Graphite pen device IQOS in Maputo: the review shortlist
Graphite in Maputo: 22 units tested over 4 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Choosing a pen device for graphite
Graphite pen device reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 22 units and 4 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
If you only read one line: the pen device you buy decides how long graphite tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a graphite pen device really costs in Maputo
If you are looking at graphite in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pen device you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested graphite in a pen device
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every graphite bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Batch code and production date, so a graphite bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Stock depth: 22 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where graphite goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a pen device that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Treating the advertised MT56 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.79 per 10 ml.
- Buying the cheapest pen device available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Packaging for graphite in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

| Entry kit | MT56 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT2.79 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
Why does graphite taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the graphite blend itself harsh.
How long does graphite in a pen device last?
In Maputo we measured 4 to 22 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
What nicotine strength should graphite start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pen device.
