Grapey pod kit IQOS in Maputo: the compare shortlist
Grapey in Maputo: 8 units tested over 8 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Coil life, liquid cost and the grapey habit
Grapey prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT3.42 per 10 ml.
Grapey pod kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 8 units and 8 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
If you only read one line: the pod kit you buy decides how long grapey tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a grapey pod kit really costs in Maputo
A grapey pod kit from the compared options in Mozambique costs about MT3.42 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested grapey in a pod kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Spare parts availability for pod kit in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Stock depth: 8 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Batch code and production date, so a grapey bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where grapey goes wrong
- Mixing grapey with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why grapey tastes flat after two days.
- Chasing a discount on a pod kit that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
