Grapey pen device IQOS in Maputo: the online shortlist
Grapey in Maputo: 13 units tested over 7 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Where buyers go wrong with grapey in Mozambique
The honest read on grapey: 13 units through the same routine over 7 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
We run grapey the same way in Maputo: same pen device, same 7 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the pen device you buy decides how long grapey tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a grapey pen device really costs in Maputo
A grapey pen device from the online options in Mozambique costs about MT1.88 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested grapey in a pen device
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a grapey bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where grapey goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a pen device that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Mixing grapey with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Why does grapey taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the grapey blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should grapey start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pen device.
Can I order IQOS online in Mozambique?
