Frozen starter kit IQOS in Maputo: the online shortlist
Frozen in Maputo: 18 units tested over 4 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Choosing a starter kit for frozen
Frozen starter kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 18 units and 4 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
We run frozen the same way in Maputo: same starter kit, same 4 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: frozen in Maputo works if the starter kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a frozen starter kit really costs in Maputo
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested frozen in a starter kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Spare parts availability for starter kit in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- Batch code and production date, so a frozen bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the starter kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where frozen goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long frozen in Maputo survives.
- Treating the advertised MT30 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT3.28 per 10 ml.
- Mixing frozen with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
Packaging for frozen in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
| What it is | This page | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Flavour | Frozen | Decides coil choice more than strength does |
| Format | starter kit | Sets how much liquid you are actually buying |
| Stock checked | 18 lines | Batch-traced, dated production runs only |
| Nicotine ceiling | varies | Legal retail limit in Mozambique |
| Coil life | ~7 days | The hidden monthly cost |
| Delivery to Mozambique | 7–14 business days | Buffer the reorder around this |
| Entry kit | MT30 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT3.28 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should frozen start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a starter kit.
How long does frozen in a starter kit last?
In Maputo we measured 4 to 18 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On frozen the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT3.28 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
