Frozen squonk mod IQOS in Maputo: the order shortlist
Frozen in Maputo: 16 units tested over 5 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
What the label on Frozen is allowed to say
A frozen squonk mod from the pre-order options in Mozambique costs about MT2.87 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
The short version: frozen in Maputo works if the squonk mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a frozen squonk mod really costs in Maputo
If you are looking at frozen in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the squonk mod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested frozen in a squonk mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Batch code and production date, so a frozen bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Stock depth: 16 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where frozen goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Treating the advertised MT67 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.87 per 10 ml.

Frequently asked questions
How long does frozen in a squonk mod last?
In Maputo we measured 5 to 16 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Is frozen legal to sell in Mozambique?
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
Why does frozen taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the squonk mod units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the frozen blend itself harsh.
