Frozen refill pack IQOS in Maputo: the guide shortlist
Frozen in Maputo: 9 units tested over 8 weeks, refill pack formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Choosing a refill pack for frozen
Frozen prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.05 per 10 ml.
Frozen sounds like one product. It is not: a refill pack running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Below is the run we did for this search: 9 units, refill pack, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a frozen refill pack really costs in Maputo
A frozen refill pack from the starter options in Mozambique costs about MT2.05 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested frozen in a refill pack
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the refill pack that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a refill pack arrives sealed but wrong.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every frozen bottle shipped into Mozambique.
Where frozen goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why frozen tastes flat after two days.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Treating the advertised MT33 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.05 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Packaging for frozen in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On frozen the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT2.05 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
What nicotine strength should frozen start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a refill pack.
Why does frozen taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the refill pack units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the frozen blend itself harsh.
