Frozen pen device IQOS in Maputo: the guide shortlist
Frozen in Maputo: 24 units tested over 2 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How to tell a good pen device from a repack
Most people searching IQOS in Mozambique are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
Frozen sounds like one product. It is not: a pen device running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
The short version: frozen in Maputo works if the pen device, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a frozen pen device really costs in Maputo
Frozen pen device reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 24 units and 2 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested frozen in a pen device
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Coil type inside the pen device, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every frozen bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
Where frozen goes wrong
- Treating the advertised MT55 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.71 per 10 ml.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ignoring the batch date on a pen device and discovering the listed price was for old stock.

Frequently asked questions
Is frozen legal to sell in Mozambique?
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On frozen the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT2.71 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
How long does frozen in a pen device last?
In Maputo we measured 2 to 24 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
