Home / Frozen cartomizer IQOS in Maputo: the cheap shortlist

Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window

We run frozen the same way in Maputo: same cartomizer, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.

The honest read on frozen: 18 units through the same routine over 5 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.

If you only read one line: the cartomizer you buy decides how long frozen tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.

What a frozen cartomizer really costs in Maputo

Frozen in a cartomizer is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.

How we tested frozen in a cartomizer

1. Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
2. Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
3. Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.

• Batch code and production date, so a frozen bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
• The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
• Spare parts availability for cartomizer in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
• Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every frozen bottle shipped into Mozambique.

Where frozen goes wrong

• Chasing a discount on a cartomizer that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
• Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why frozen tastes flat after two days.
• Buying the cheapest cartomizer available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.

The rules that apply here

Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Packaging for frozen in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
