Frozen 60 ml bottle IQOS in Maputo: the compare shortlist
Frozen in Maputo: 23 units tested over 3 weeks, 60 ml bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Where buyers go wrong with frozen in Mozambique
The honest read on frozen: 23 units through the same routine over 3 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Frozen in a 60 ml bottle is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
The short version: frozen in Maputo works if the 60 ml bottle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a frozen 60 ml bottle really costs in Maputo
A frozen 60 ml bottle from the compared options in Mozambique costs about MT2.51 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested frozen in a 60 ml bottle
- Pick the 60 ml bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a frozen bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where frozen goes wrong
- Treating the advertised MT29 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.51 per 10 ml.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Ignoring the batch date on a 60 ml bottle and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Packaging for frozen in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
Is frozen legal to sell in Mozambique?
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
Why does frozen taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 60 ml bottle units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the frozen blend itself harsh.
How much does a 60 ml bottle cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT2.51 per 10 ml liquid plus MT29 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
