Fig squonk mod IQOS in Maputo: the deals shortlist
Fig in Maputo: 23 units tested over 6 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Choosing a squonk mod for fig
Most people searching IQOS in Mozambique are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
We run fig the same way in Maputo: same squonk mod, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: fig in Maputo works if the squonk mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a fig squonk mod really costs in Maputo
Fig in a squonk mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested fig in a squonk mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Stock depth: 23 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Spare parts availability for squonk mod in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where fig goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a squonk mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why fig tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
Packaging for fig in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

| Entry kit | MT54 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT2.36 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
Is fig legal to sell in Mozambique?
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
Why does fig taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the squonk mod units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the fig blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should fig start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a squonk mod.
