Fig pod kit IQOS in Maputo: the budget shortlist
Fig in Maputo: 21 units tested over 9 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Coil life, liquid cost and the fig habit
Ordering into Maputo usually means waiting 7–14 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
Fig in Maputo reaches the shelf in pod kit formats, and the budget ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Below is the run we did for this search: 21 units, pod kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a fig pod kit really costs in Maputo
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested fig in a pod kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Batch code and production date, so a fig bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Spare parts availability for pod kit in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- Coil type inside the pod kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where fig goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Treating the advertised MT28 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT3.37 per 10 ml.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long fig in Maputo survives.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a pod kit cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT3.37 per 10 ml liquid plus MT28 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does fig taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pod kit units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the fig blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should fig start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pod kit.
