Fig box mod IQOS in Maputo: the flat shortlist
Fig in Maputo: 8 units tested over 5 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Ordering IQOS to Maputo: the practical version
Fig box mod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 8 units and 5 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Fig prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.59 per 10 ml.
The short version: fig in Maputo works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a fig box mod really costs in Maputo
If you are looking at fig in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the box mod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested fig in a box mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every fig bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Stock depth: 8 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
Where fig goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why fig tastes flat after two days.
- Chasing a discount on a box mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On fig the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT2.59 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
Can I order IQOS online in Mozambique?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 7–14 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
Why does fig taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the box mod units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the fig blend itself harsh.
