Dessert vape pen IQOS in Maputo: the best shortlist
Dessert in Maputo: 17 units tested over 6 weeks, vape pen formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Ordering IQOS to Maputo: the practical version
We run dessert the same way in Maputo: same vape pen, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Dessert in a vape pen is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
The short version: dessert in Maputo works if the vape pen, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a dessert vape pen really costs in Maputo
Dessert prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.19 per 10 ml.
How we tested dessert in a vape pen
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the vape pen that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Spare parts availability for vape pen in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- Stock depth: 17 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Batch code and production date, so a dessert bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where dessert goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why dessert tastes flat after two days.
- Chasing a discount on a vape pen that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

| Nicotine ceiling | varies | Legal retail limit in Mozambique |
| Coil life | ~5 days | The hidden monthly cost |

| Entry kit | MT38 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT2.19 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On dessert the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT2.19 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
What nicotine strength should dessert start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a vape pen.
How long does dessert in a vape pen last?
In Maputo we measured 6 to 17 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
