Dessert RDA IQOS in Maputo: the deals shortlist
Dessert in Maputo: 17 units tested over 5 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
What dessert costs in Maputo
Dessert prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.2 per 10 ml.
If you are looking at dessert in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the RDA you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
The short version: dessert in Maputo works if the RDA, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a dessert RDA really costs in Maputo
Dessert prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.2 per 10 ml.
How we tested dessert in a RDA
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the RDA that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Spare parts availability for RDA in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every dessert bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Stock depth: 17 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Coil type inside the RDA, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where dessert goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a RDA and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Mixing dessert with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should dessert start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a RDA.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On dessert the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT2.2 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
Why does dessert taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the RDA units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the dessert blend itself harsh.
