Dessert pen device IQOS in Maputo: the online shortlist
Dessert in Maputo: 17 units tested over 7 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Delivery, returns and what 7–14 business days really means
If you are looking at dessert in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pen device you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
Dessert prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT1.97 per 10 ml.
Below is the run we did for this search: 17 units, pen device, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a dessert pen device really costs in Maputo
Most people searching IQOS in Mozambique are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
How we tested dessert in a pen device
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Coil type inside the pen device, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pen device arrives sealed but wrong.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where dessert goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest pen device available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Treating the advertised MT57 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT1.97 per 10 ml.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
How long does dessert in a pen device last?
In Maputo we measured 7 to 17 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Can I order IQOS online in Mozambique?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 7–14 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
Why does dessert taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the dessert blend itself harsh.
