Cream box mod IQOS in Maputo: the best shortlist
Cream in Maputo: 19 units tested over 9 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Choosing a box mod for cream
We run cream the same way in Maputo: same box mod, same 9 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Cream prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.73 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the box mod you buy decides how long cream tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a cream box mod really costs in Maputo
Cream prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.73 per 10 ml.
How we tested cream in a box mod
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every cream bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Stock depth: 19 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where cream goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a box mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why cream tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
