Cola vape pen IQOS in Maputo: the order shortlist
Cola in Maputo: 16 units tested over 6 weeks, vape pen formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Coil life, liquid cost and the cola habit
Cola in a vape pen is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Cola in Maputo reaches the shelf in vape pen formats, and the pre-order ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
The short version: cola in Maputo works if the vape pen, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a cola vape pen really costs in Maputo
The honest read on cola: 16 units through the same routine over 6 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested cola in a vape pen
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the vape pen that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Coil type inside the vape pen, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a cola bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where cola goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Treating the advertised MT54 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT3.52 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here

Frequently asked questions
Is cola legal to sell in Mozambique?
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
What nicotine strength should cola start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a vape pen.
Why does cola taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the vape pen units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the cola blend itself harsh.
