Cola vape pen IQOS in Maputo: the budget shortlist
Cola in Maputo: 12 units tested over 5 weeks, vape pen formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How we tested Cola vape pen here
Cola prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT1.65 per 10 ml.
The honest read on cola: 12 units through the same routine over 5 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
The short version: cola in Maputo works if the vape pen, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a cola vape pen really costs in Maputo
The honest read on cola: 12 units through the same routine over 5 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested cola in a vape pen
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Pick the vape pen that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a vape pen arrives sealed but wrong.
- Batch code and production date, so a cola bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where cola goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why cola tastes flat after two days.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Treating the advertised MT55 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT1.65 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
| What it is | This page | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Flavour | Cola | Decides coil choice more than strength does |
| Format | vape pen | Sets how much liquid you are actually buying |
| Stock checked | 12 lines | Batch-traced, dated production runs only |
| Nicotine ceiling | varies | Legal retail limit in Mozambique |
| Coil life | ~7 days | The hidden monthly cost |
| Delivery to Mozambique | 7–14 business days | Buffer the reorder around this |
| Entry kit | MT55 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT1.65 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
How long does cola in a vape pen last?
In Maputo we measured 5 to 12 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does cola taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the vape pen units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the cola blend itself harsh.
Is cola legal to sell in Mozambique?
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
