Cola box mod IQOS in Maputo: the best shortlist
Cola in Maputo: 8 units tested over 9 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
What the label on Cola is allowed to say
Most people searching IQOS in Mozambique are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
Cola prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.18 per 10 ml.
Below is the run we did for this search: 8 units, box mod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a cola box mod really costs in Maputo
If you are looking at cola in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the box mod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested cola in a box mod
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Spare parts availability for box mod in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
Where cola goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why cola tastes flat after two days.
- Buying the cheapest box mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Treating the advertised MT63 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.18 per 10 ml.
