Coffee squonk mod IQOS in Maputo: the best shortlist
Coffee in Maputo: 16 units tested over 7 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Coil life, liquid cost and the coffee habit
Coffee sounds like one product. It is not: a squonk mod running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Coffee sounds like one product. It is not: a squonk mod running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
The short version: coffee in Maputo works if the squonk mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a coffee squonk mod really costs in Maputo
Coffee prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT1.77 per 10 ml.
How we tested coffee in a squonk mod
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every coffee bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Stock depth: 16 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where coffee goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a squonk mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long coffee in Maputo survives.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why coffee tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for coffee in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
