Coconut RDA IQOS in Maputo: the deals shortlist
Coconut in Maputo: 16 units tested over 7 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Choosing a RDA for coconut
We run coconut the same way in Maputo: same RDA, same 7 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Below is the run we did for this search: 16 units, RDA, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a coconut RDA really costs in Maputo
We run coconut the same way in Maputo: same RDA, same 7 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested coconut in a RDA
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Batch code and production date, so a coconut bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the RDA, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Stock depth: 16 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where coconut goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a RDA that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Buying the cheapest RDA available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why coconut tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for coconut in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Is coconut legal to sell in Mozambique?
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
Why does coconut taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the RDA units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the coconut blend itself harsh.
How much does a RDA cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT1.74 per 10 ml liquid plus MT59 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
