Coconut mesh tank IQOS in Maputo: the review shortlist
Coconut in Maputo: 18 units tested over 7 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How we tested Coconut mesh tank here
Coconut in a mesh tank is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Most people searching IQOS in Mozambique are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
If you only read one line: the mesh tank you buy decides how long coconut tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a coconut mesh tank really costs in Maputo
The honest read on coconut: 18 units through the same routine over 7 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested coconut in a mesh tank
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Batch code and production date, so a coconut bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Stock depth: 18 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where coconut goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long coconut in Maputo survives.
- Ignoring the batch date on a mesh tank and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
| What it is | This page | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Flavour | Coconut | Decides coil choice more than strength does |
| Format | mesh tank | Sets how much liquid you are actually buying |
| Stock checked | 18 lines | Batch-traced, dated production runs only |
| Nicotine ceiling | varies | Legal retail limit in Mozambique |
| Coil life | ~4 days | The hidden monthly cost |
| Delivery to Mozambique | 7–14 business days | Buffer the reorder around this |
| Entry kit | MT37 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT1.9 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should coconut start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a mesh tank.
How much does a mesh tank cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT1.9 per 10 ml liquid plus MT37 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does coconut taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the mesh tank units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the coconut blend itself harsh.
