Citrus sub-ohm kit IQOS in Maputo: the guide shortlist
Citrus in Maputo: 24 units tested over 4 weeks, sub-ohm kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Coil life, liquid cost and the citrus habit
Citrus sub-ohm kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 24 units and 4 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Citrus prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.97 per 10 ml.
The short version: citrus in Maputo works if the sub-ohm kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a citrus sub-ohm kit really costs in Maputo
We run citrus the same way in Maputo: same sub-ohm kit, same 4 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested citrus in a sub-ohm kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the sub-ohm kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Spare parts availability for sub-ohm kit in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Stock depth: 24 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where citrus goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why citrus tastes flat after two days.
- Mixing citrus with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Buying the cheapest sub-ohm kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Is citrus legal to sell in Mozambique?
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
How long does citrus in a sub-ohm kit last?
In Maputo we measured 4 to 24 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
What nicotine strength should citrus start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a sub-ohm kit.
