Citrus sub-ohm kit IQOS in Maputo: the flat shortlist
Citrus in Maputo: 18 units tested over 2 weeks, sub-ohm kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How we tested Citrus sub-ohm kit here
We run citrus the same way in Maputo: same sub-ohm kit, same 2 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Citrus in a sub-ohm kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
The short version: citrus in Maputo works if the sub-ohm kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a citrus sub-ohm kit really costs in Maputo
Ordering into Maputo usually means waiting 7–14 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
How we tested citrus in a sub-ohm kit
- Pick the sub-ohm kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Coil type inside the sub-ohm kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every citrus bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where citrus goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why citrus tastes flat after two days.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.

Frequently asked questions
Is citrus legal to sell in Mozambique?
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
How long does citrus in a sub-ohm kit last?
In Maputo we measured 2 to 18 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
What nicotine strength should citrus start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a sub-ohm kit.
