Citrus prefilled pod IQOS in Maputo: the guide shortlist
Citrus in Maputo: 18 units tested over 3 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How to tell a good prefilled pod from a repack
The honest read on citrus: 18 units through the same routine over 3 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
A citrus prefilled pod from the starter options in Mozambique costs about MT3.12 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
The short version: citrus in Maputo works if the prefilled pod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a citrus prefilled pod really costs in Maputo
Citrus prefilled pod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 18 units and 3 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested citrus in a prefilled pod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Batch code and production date, so a citrus bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Spare parts availability for prefilled pod in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a prefilled pod arrives sealed but wrong.
Where citrus goes wrong
- Treating the advertised MT54 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT3.12 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why citrus tastes flat after two days.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for citrus in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
Why does citrus taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the prefilled pod units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the citrus blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should citrus start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a prefilled pod.
Do you ship tracked orders to Mozambique?
Yes, tracked to 7–14 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
