Citrus box mod IQOS in Maputo: the wholesale shortlist
Citrus in Maputo: 13 units tested over 4 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Coil life, liquid cost and the citrus habit
If you are looking at citrus in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the box mod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
Citrus box mod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 13 units and 4 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Below is the run we did for this search: 13 units, box mod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a citrus box mod really costs in Maputo
The honest read on citrus: 13 units through the same routine over 4 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested citrus in a box mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Batch code and production date, so a citrus bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Stock depth: 13 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
Where citrus goes wrong
- Mixing citrus with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised MT50 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.08 per 10 ml.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
| What it is | This page | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Flavour | Citrus | Decides coil choice more than strength does |
| Format | box mod | Sets how much liquid you are actually buying |
| Stock checked | 13 lines | Batch-traced, dated production runs only |
| Nicotine ceiling | varies | Legal retail limit in Mozambique |
| Coil life | ~5 days | The hidden monthly cost |
| Delivery to Mozambique | 7–14 business days | Buffer the reorder around this |
| Entry kit | MT50 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT2.08 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On citrus the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT2.08 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
Do you ship tracked orders to Mozambique?
Yes, tracked to 7–14 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
Why does citrus taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the box mod units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the citrus blend itself harsh.
