Cherry starter kit IQOS in Maputo: the compare shortlist
Cherry in Maputo: 23 units tested over 5 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How we tested Cherry starter kit here
We run cherry the same way in Maputo: same starter kit, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you are looking at cherry in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the starter kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
The short version: cherry in Maputo works if the starter kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a cherry starter kit really costs in Maputo
Cherry starter kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 23 units and 5 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested cherry in a starter kit
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Coil type inside the starter kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where cherry goes wrong
- Mixing cherry with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Chasing a discount on a starter kit that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long cherry in Maputo survives.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for cherry in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
