Cherry pen device IQOS in Maputo: the deals shortlist
Cherry in Maputo: 9 units tested over 7 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Coil life, liquid cost and the cherry habit
Cherry pen device reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 9 units and 7 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Cherry in Maputo reaches the shelf in pen device formats, and the discounted ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Below is the run we did for this search: 9 units, pen device, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a cherry pen device really costs in Maputo
Cherry in a pen device is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested cherry in a pen device
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Batch code and production date, so a cherry bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Spare parts availability for pen device in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- Stock depth: 9 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where cherry goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a pen device and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Treating the advertised MT33 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.25 per 10 ml.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
Packaging for cherry in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
| What it is | This page | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Flavour | Cherry | Decides coil choice more than strength does |
| Format | pen device | Sets how much liquid you are actually buying |
| Stock checked | 9 lines | Batch-traced, dated production runs only |
| Nicotine ceiling | varies | Legal retail limit in Mozambique |
| Coil life | ~5 days | The hidden monthly cost |
| Delivery to Mozambique | 7–14 business days | Buffer the reorder around this |
| Entry kit | MT33 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT2.25 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
Why does cherry taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the cherry blend itself harsh.
How much does a pen device cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT2.25 per 10 ml liquid plus MT33 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
How long does cherry in a pen device last?
In Maputo we measured 7 to 9 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
