Cherry box mod IQOS in Maputo: the compare shortlist
Cherry in Maputo: 14 units tested over 2 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How we tested Cherry box mod here
Cherry box mod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 14 units and 2 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Cherry in a box mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Below is the run we did for this search: 14 units, box mod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a cherry box mod really costs in Maputo
We run cherry the same way in Maputo: same box mod, same 2 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested cherry in a box mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Stock depth: 14 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where cherry goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a box mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Treating the advertised MT67 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT1.7 per 10 ml.
- Buying the cheapest box mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a box mod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT1.7 per 10 ml liquid plus MT67 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On cherry the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT1.7 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
How long does cherry in a box mod last?
In Maputo we measured 2 to 14 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
