Caramel pen device IQOS in Maputo: the order shortlist
Caramel in Maputo: 7 units tested over 5 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
What the label on Caramel is allowed to say
Caramel pen device reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 7 units and 5 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Caramel sounds like one product. It is not: a pen device running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Below is the run we did for this search: 7 units, pen device, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a caramel pen device really costs in Maputo
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested caramel in a pen device
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Spare parts availability for pen device in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- Coil type inside the pen device, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Stock depth: 7 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where caramel goes wrong
- Treating the advertised MT66 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT3.45 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why caramel tastes flat after two days.
- Buying the cheapest pen device available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.

Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 7–14 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
How long does caramel in a pen device last?
In Maputo we measured 5 to 7 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
