Caramel mesh tank IQOS in Maputo: the flat shortlist
Caramel in Maputo: 17 units tested over 8 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How to tell a good mesh tank from a repack
A caramel mesh tank from the flat-rate options in Mozambique costs about MT1.95 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Caramel prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT1.95 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the mesh tank you buy decides how long caramel tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a caramel mesh tank really costs in Maputo
If you are looking at caramel in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the mesh tank you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested caramel in a mesh tank
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every caramel bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Coil type inside the mesh tank, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Stock depth: 17 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where caramel goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a mesh tank that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Mixing caramel with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long caramel in Maputo survives.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Packaging for caramel in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
How much does a mesh tank cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT1.95 per 10 ml liquid plus MT62 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
