Caramel disposable vape IQOS in Maputo: the review shortlist
Caramel in Maputo: 6 units tested over 9 weeks, disposable vape formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Choosing a disposable vape for caramel
Caramel prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.59 per 10 ml.
We run caramel the same way in Maputo: same disposable vape, same 9 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: caramel in Maputo works if the disposable vape, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a caramel disposable vape really costs in Maputo
Most people searching IQOS in Mozambique are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
How we tested caramel in a disposable vape
- Pick the disposable vape that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every caramel bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a disposable vape arrives sealed but wrong.
- Batch code and production date, so a caramel bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where caramel goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a disposable vape and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Treating the advertised MT39 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.59 per 10 ml.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

| Entry kit | MT39 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT2.59 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |
