Caramel box mod IQOS in Maputo: the budget shortlist
Caramel in Maputo: 10 units tested over 9 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
What the label on Caramel is allowed to say
We run caramel the same way in Maputo: same box mod, same 9 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Ordering into Maputo usually means waiting 7–14 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
If you only read one line: the box mod you buy decides how long caramel tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a caramel box mod really costs in Maputo
If you are looking at caramel in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the box mod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested caramel in a box mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Spare parts availability for box mod in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
Where caramel goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a box mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why caramel tastes flat after two days.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for caramel in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
Why does caramel taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the box mod units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the caramel blend itself harsh.
How much does a box mod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT1.93 per 10 ml liquid plus MT34 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.

Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 7–14 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
