Candy vape pen IQOS in Maputo: the price shortlist
Candy in Maputo: 12 units tested over 8 weeks, vape pen formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Coil life, liquid cost and the candy habit
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
We run candy the same way in Maputo: same vape pen, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: candy in Maputo works if the vape pen, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a candy vape pen really costs in Maputo
We run candy the same way in Maputo: same vape pen, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested candy in a vape pen
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Pick the vape pen that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Coil type inside the vape pen, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a candy bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where candy goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why candy tastes flat after two days.
- Ignoring the batch date on a vape pen and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Buying the cheapest vape pen available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
| What it is | This page | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Flavour | Candy | Decides coil choice more than strength does |
| Format | vape pen | Sets how much liquid you are actually buying |
| Stock checked | 12 lines | Batch-traced, dated production runs only |
| Nicotine ceiling | varies | Legal retail limit in Mozambique |
| Coil life | ~7 days | The hidden monthly cost |
| Delivery to Mozambique | 7–14 business days | Buffer the reorder around this |
| Entry kit | MT64 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT2.91 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |
