Candy vape pen IQOS in Maputo: the budget shortlist
Candy in Maputo: 21 units tested over 4 weeks, vape pen formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Coil life, liquid cost and the candy habit
The honest read on candy: 21 units through the same routine over 4 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
A candy vape pen from the budget options in Mozambique costs about MT2.27 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the vape pen you buy decides how long candy tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.

How we tested candy in a vape pen
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Stock depth: 21 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where candy goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why candy tastes flat after two days.
- Ignoring the batch date on a vape pen and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for candy in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.

Frequently asked questions
Why does candy taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the vape pen units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the candy blend itself harsh.
How long does candy in a vape pen last?
In Maputo we measured 4 to 21 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
What nicotine strength should candy start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a vape pen.
