Candy box mod IQOS in Maputo: the review shortlist
Candy in Maputo: 9 units tested over 8 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Delivery, returns and what 7–14 business days really means
Candy sounds like one product. It is not: a box mod running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Candy in a box mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
The short version: candy in Maputo works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a candy box mod really costs in Maputo
Candy box mod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 9 units and 8 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested candy in a box mod
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every candy bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Stock depth: 9 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where candy goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest box mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why candy tastes flat after two days.
- Ignoring the batch date on a box mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Why does candy taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the box mod units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the candy blend itself harsh.
Is candy legal to sell in Mozambique?
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On candy the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT2.23 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
