Candy 30 ml shortfill IQOS in Maputo: the review shortlist
Candy in Maputo: 6 units tested over 4 weeks, 30 ml shortfill formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Choosing a 30 ml shortfill for candy
Candy sounds like one product. It is not: a 30 ml shortfill running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Candy in a 30 ml shortfill is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
The short version: candy in Maputo works if the 30 ml shortfill, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a candy 30 ml shortfill really costs in Maputo
Candy prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.63 per 10 ml.
How we tested candy in a 30 ml shortfill
- Pick the 30 ml shortfill that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a 30 ml shortfill arrives sealed but wrong.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every candy bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where candy goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a 30 ml shortfill and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Chasing a discount on a 30 ml shortfill that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

| Nicotine ceiling | varies | Legal retail limit in Mozambique |
| Coil life | ~7 days | The hidden monthly cost |
| Delivery to Mozambique | 7–14 business days | Buffer the reorder around this |
| Entry kit | MT31 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT2.63 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
How long does candy in a 30 ml shortfill last?
In Maputo we measured 4 to 6 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does candy taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 30 ml shortfill units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the candy blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should candy start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a 30 ml shortfill.
