Blackcurrant RDA IQOS in Maputo: the review shortlist
Blackcurrant in Maputo: 8 units tested over 8 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
What the label on Blackcurrant is allowed to say
We run blackcurrant the same way in Maputo: same RDA, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
A blackcurrant RDA from the reviewed options in Mozambique costs about MT2.06 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Below is the run we did for this search: 8 units, RDA, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a blackcurrant RDA really costs in Maputo
Ordering into Maputo usually means waiting 7–14 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
How we tested blackcurrant in a RDA
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every blackcurrant bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Coil type inside the RDA, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Stock depth: 8 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where blackcurrant goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a RDA and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Treating the advertised MT33 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.06 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
How long does blackcurrant in a RDA last?
In Maputo we measured 8 to 8 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On blackcurrant the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT2.06 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
Why does blackcurrant taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the RDA units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the blackcurrant blend itself harsh.
