Berry box mod IQOS in Maputo: the order shortlist
Berry in Maputo: 9 units tested over 5 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Delivery, returns and what 7–14 business days really means
Berry prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.78 per 10 ml.
Berry in a box mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
The short version: berry in Maputo works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a berry box mod really costs in Maputo
We run berry the same way in Maputo: same box mod, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested berry in a box mod
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Stock depth: 9 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
Where berry goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest box mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Chasing a discount on a box mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
