What apple costs in Maputo
Apple prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT1.87 per 10 ml.
We run apple the same way in Maputo: same zero-nicotine bottle, same 9 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the zero-nicotine bottle you buy decides how long apple tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a apple zero-nicotine bottle really costs in Maputo
We run apple the same way in Maputo: same zero-nicotine bottle, same 9 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested apple in a zero-nicotine bottle
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the zero-nicotine bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a apple bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Spare parts availability for zero-nicotine bottle in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
Where apple goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a zero-nicotine bottle that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ignoring the batch date on a zero-nicotine bottle and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a zero-nicotine bottle cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT1.87 per 10 ml liquid plus MT55 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does apple taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the zero-nicotine bottle units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the apple blend itself harsh.
