Apple starter kit IQOS in Maputo: the price shortlist
Apple in Maputo: 7 units tested over 5 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Ordering IQOS to Maputo: the practical version
A apple starter kit from the value options in Mozambique costs about MT3.24 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Apple starter kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 7 units and 5 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
The short version: apple in Maputo works if the starter kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a apple starter kit really costs in Maputo
Apple in a starter kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested apple in a starter kit
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every apple bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Batch code and production date, so a apple bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a starter kit arrives sealed but wrong.
Where apple goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a starter kit that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Treating the advertised MT36 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT3.24 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
Is apple legal to sell in Mozambique?
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On apple the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT3.24 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
What nicotine strength should apple start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a starter kit.
