Apple cartomizer IQOS in Maputo: the deals shortlist
Apple in Maputo: 9 units tested over 5 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
What apple costs in Maputo
Apple in Maputo reaches the shelf in cartomizer formats, and the discounted ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Apple in a cartomizer is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
The short version: apple in Maputo works if the cartomizer, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a apple cartomizer really costs in Maputo
Apple in a cartomizer is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested apple in a cartomizer
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Spare parts availability for cartomizer in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Batch code and production date, so a apple bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where apple goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why apple tastes flat after two days.
- Buying the cheapest cartomizer available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Treating the advertised MT47 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.45 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Packaging for apple in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
| What it is | This page | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|

| Format | cartomizer | Sets how much liquid you are actually buying |
| Stock checked | 9 lines | Batch-traced, dated production runs only |
| Nicotine ceiling | varies | Legal retail limit in Mozambique |
| Coil life | ~5 days | The hidden monthly cost |
| Delivery to Mozambique | 7–14 business days | Buffer the reorder around this |
| Entry kit | MT47 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT2.45 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
Is apple legal to sell in Mozambique?
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
What nicotine strength should apple start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a cartomizer.
Why does apple taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the cartomizer units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the apple blend itself harsh.
